Terms of Service

1. About SolveNow
SolveNow ("we," "us," "the Platform") is an online marketplace operated from New Delhi, India, connecting students (Class 1 through postgraduate level) with independent subject-matter experts ("Experts" or "Teachers") for live, per-minute-billed video tutoring sessions, and scheduled booked sessions.
SolveNow is a technology platform that facilitates connections between Students and Experts. SolveNow is not an educational institution, does not employ Experts, and does not guarantee specific learning outcomes.
By registering for or using SolveNow (via web or app), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
- Students may range from Class 1 to postgraduate level. Where a Student is a minor (under 18 years of age), a parent or legal guardian must consent to registration and is responsible for supervising the minor's use of the Platform, including payment activity.
- Experts must be 18 years or older and complete SolveNow's verification process (KYC, education proof, and a live demo session) before being approved to offer sessions.
- By registering, you confirm that all information provided (identity, age, class/qualification, contact details) is accurate.
3. Account Registration & Verification
- Students and Experts register using a valid mobile number, verified via OTP (One-Time Password).
- Expert accounts additionally require identity documents (PAN, Aadhaar, educational proof) and are subject to admin approval and a scheduled demo session before activation.
- SolveNow reserves the right to suspend, reject, or terminate any account found to have provided false information, or found in violation of these Terms or our Safety & Conduct Policy.
4. Wallet, Billing & Payments
4.1 Wallet System
- Students top up a prepaid wallet to pay for sessions. Funds are added via UPI or other supported payment methods and are reflected in the Student's wallet balance after manual or automated verification.
- A minimum wallet balance of ₹50 is required to initiate a live session. Sessions cannot be started if the wallet balance is insufficient to cover at least one minute of the Expert's stated per-minute rate (inclusive of applicable GST).
- SolveNow may, at its discretion, credit promotional balances ("Promo Credits") to a Student's wallet (e.g., welcome offers, festival promotions). Promo Credits:
- Are used first before any real (paid) wallet balance during billing.
- Are not withdrawable as cash and have no cash value.
- May expire, be capped, or be revoked by SolveNow at its discretion, including in cases of suspected misuse.
4.2 Per-Minute Billing
- Live sessions are billed per minute at the Expert's displayed rate, plus applicable GST.
- A grace period of the first 30 seconds of a live session is not billed.
- Billing is calculated based on actual elapsed session time as recorded by the Platform's systems, which shall be treated as the authoritative record for billing purposes.
4.3 Booked (Scheduled) Sessions
- Students may schedule sessions in advance with a chosen Expert, subject to the Expert's confirmation.
- Booked sessions follow the same per-minute billing principles as live sessions once started.
4.4 Refunds & Cancellations
- Wallet top-ups, once credited, are generally non-refundable except where a technical error on SolveNow's part resulted in an incorrect charge, verifiable by SolveNow's session and billing logs.
- If an Expert fails to join a confirmed booked session, or a live session cannot proceed due to a Platform-side technical failure, no charge will be applied for that session, and any partial charge already applied will be reversed by SolveNow within a reasonable time upon review.
- SolveNow does not guarantee refunds for sessions where a Student is dissatisfied with subjective teaching quality; Students are encouraged to use the in-app rating and review system, which SolveNow monitors for repeated quality concerns.
4.5 Teacher Payouts
- Experts earn a share of the base session fee (exclusive of GST) as set out separately in the Expert Agreement provided at the time of Expert registration. This share is subject to change with notice to registered Experts.
- Payouts are processed on a periodic (currently weekly) basis, subject to the Expert completing banking/KYC verification.
- Applicable tax deductions (e.g., TDS) may apply to Expert payouts as required under Indian law, and are addressed in the Expert Agreement.
5. Conduct & Safety
- All Users (Students and Experts) must comply with SolveNow's Safety & Professional Conduct Policy, which prohibits harassment, inappropriate communication, and any conduct that endangers the safety of minors on the Platform.
- All live video sessions are automatically recorded from the moment both parties join the call, via our third-party video infrastructure provider. By joining any live session, you (and, where the Student is a minor, their parent/guardian) expressly consent to this recording. Recordings are used solely for safety monitoring, dispute resolution, and quality assurance, as further described in our Privacy Policy, and are not shared publicly.
- Users must not attempt to arrange payment or communication outside the Platform to circumvent SolveNow's billing or safety systems.
6. Limitation of Liability
- SolveNow provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service, and are not liable for outcomes of tutoring sessions, including academic results.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolveNow's liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by the Student for the specific session giving rise to the claim.
- SolveNow is not liable for the independent conduct, statements, or actions of Experts, who are independent contractors and not employees or agents of SolveNow.
7. Grievance Redressal
In accordance with applicable Indian consumer protection and information technology regulations, grievances or complaints may be directed to:

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
